Recent data from Jakpat (a polling institute) from mid-2023 shows that hair problems remain a leading complaint among Indonesians. The survey, which involved 3,041 respondents, found that 64.7% experienced hair loss, making it the most common hair issue faced by the Indonesian public.
Following that, 44.3% of respondents reported dandruff, 30.8% dealt with dry and dull hair, 26.1% experienced oily or limp hair, and 18% had damaged or split ends.
Notably, among the 1,969 respondents who experienced hair loss, the majority fell within the 20 to 25 age range (37.7%), followed by ages 30 to 35 (16.8%), 26 to 29 (15.2%), and even 16 to 19 (9.9%). This data points to hair concerns no longer being tied to age alone, but affecting productive-age young people as well.
